India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), a government-owned banking entity under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, has proudly won the **Digital Payments Award 2024-25** from the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance. This award celebrates IPPB’s exceptional efforts in boosting digital payments and ensuring financial inclusion for people across the country — including in remote and rural areas.

The award was presented by the Hon’ble Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs, **Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman**, and the Hon’ble Minister of State for Finance, **Shri Pankaj Chaudhary**, during a special ceremony held in New Delhi. Receiving the award on behalf of IPPB were **Shri Gursharan Rai Bansal**, CGM & CSMO, and **Shri R. Viswesvaran**, MD & CEO.

In the DFS Performance Index for the fiscal year 2024–2025, IPPB secured **1st Position**, making it stand out among all Indian payments banks. In addition, the bank earned a ‘Special Mention’ for its performance during the 2023–24 fiscal year.
